Ashville College Disc Golf Club - Baskets and Targets

The golf basket is the equivalent of the 'hole' in ball golf. Its design allows it to catch and hold a golf disc thrown at speed into it. A hole-in-one is not as rare in disc golf as you might think, since the chains of the basket take all the pace off the disc and the basket itself catches the disc as it falls.

There are a number of different basket designs available but all must be approved by the PDGA (Players Disc Golf Association).

Instead of buying baskets, you can simply improvise a course in your local park by using trees as targets (don't use young saplings since they could get damaged by the discs).
